Nicky Epstein Book Signing
Here are some photos from our demonstration and book signing with renowned author and designer Nicky Epstein on Friday, September 14, 2007.

Kylie, Lara, and Ailsa chat as the audience eagerly waits for Nicky to open her suitcase. We had knitters and crocheters from all over Sydney (and beyond).

Nicky was happy to be guided by audience questions, and here she shows us a sample and discusses the technique used.

We had quite a crowd!

Nicky tells us about her adventures in felting, which culminated in this spectacular coat featured in her new Knitting Never Felt Better book.

We were all very interested in learning about shibori felting, which Nicky used to create this amazing Angel Puff scarf.

Nicky signs a book and chats with Bernadette, a member of the NSW Knitters' Guild.

Local knitblogger Andrew was proud to be our token male knitter for the day!

Dispelling the myth that knitting is only for grandmothers, student Hannah rushed to the shop from school to meet with Nicky.

Nicky talks with Marguerite, Carolyn, and Anne from the NSW Knitters' Guild.

The queue seemed long at times, but Nicky and her husband Howard stayed until everyone had their chance to meet her.
Thank you to everyone who came along! |
